June 16: Father's Day and National Men's Ministries Day

by Rick Allen on May 23, 2024

Much of a man’s world revolves around the giving and receiving of honor and respect. Those two things are to a man what water and sunlight are to plants.

Yet we often forget to generously “give preference to one another in honor” (Romans 12:10). Father’s Day is this month, on June 16, and it is our custom to celebrate National Men’s Ministries Day. This is important because Ministry to Men Matters!

So we take the month of June to give honor and show respect for some men who mean a great deal to Light for the Lost and National Men’s Ministries through their sacrifices, service, and godly example.

Without godly men in our lives, serving in the church, and spreading the gospel of Jesus throughout the world, the Great Commission could not be fulfilled. God created men with a clear purpose to work, serve, protect, lead, and sacrifice. For decades, thousands of men have done all those things for Light for the Lost and Men’s Ministries.

This month we honor them and want to show them how much we love, respect, and value their contributions to the family of God. Happy Father’s Day!
